We are nature enthusiasts, tourism lovers, and passionate about Patagonia. We created Glacier Sky with the goal of showing our visitors each of the wonderful corners that surround us, enjoying scenic flights and, at the same time, uniting the vastness of its horizons. Glacier Sky is a private company committed to the environment and safety. We have the combined EXPERIENCE of three leading companies in the tourism sector of Patagonia.   • Twin-engine aircraft Passenger transport aircraft configured as a high-wing monoplane, featuring a functional rectangular-section fuselage, robust construction, and fixed tricycle landing gear with two wheels on each main leg.
  • Capacity To accommodate eight (8) passengers. In addition to operating as a passenger transport, the Islander can be used as a cargo aircraft, as an air ambulance, and for various general purposes, with appropriate equipment.

FAQs

  • Is the transfer to El Calafate Airport included?

    No, the experience does not include transfer. Passengers will be greeted by Glacier Sky staff at the boarding area of Armando Tola International Airport, located in El Calafate, Santa Cruz.

  • What is the company's policy regarding children and minors?

    The activity is not recommended for children under 10 years of age due to safety and comfort considerations. For safety reasons, minors must be accompanied by at least one adult.

  • What is the company's cancellation policy in case of cancellations due to weather conditions?

    In case of cancellations due to adverse weather conditions prior to the start of the flight, we offer a full refund of the amount paid. If you cancel your flight at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled date, a 50% refund of the amount paid will be applied.

  • How many people can fit in the aircraft?

    Our aircraft has a maximum occupancy of eight (8) passengers.

  • What happens if I don't fill the maximum occupancy of the aircraft?

    The experience has a guaranteed departure with a minimum of 4 passengers. Once surpassing 6 passengers, 2 (maximum 8) will receive a 25% discount off the Rack Rate as 2 seats do not have a prominent view.

  • What languages do the pilots speak?

    Our pilots are bilingual and speak English, in addition to Spanish, enabling smooth communication with both English and Spanish-speaking passengers. Not only do our pilots have extensive flying experience, but they also possess a deep knowledge of the areas they fly over, including El Calafate and El Chalten. They are trained to provide detailed information and share their passion for the landscapes and history of the region with our passengers.
